On Sunday April 30th, fashion superstars: Grayse, by Kelly and Marie Gray, held a Boutique Bridal Expo at the plush salon of hairstylist icon, Cristophe, Beverly Hills. Guests were able to partake in bridal hair and makeup consultations, browse around and talk with wedding vendors, enjoy delicious food, champagne, and cake tastings.
The highlight of the afternoon was the Grayse’s Fashion Show that exhibited their bridal collection. Not only did the audience preview dazzling wedding gowns, the collection also featured unique, classy and elegant styles for the mothers and bridesmaids.
Kelly Gray commented to The Hollywood 360 in an interview:
“We dress for weddings; bridesmaids and mothers. It’s surprising how few places there are for mothers to shop. We started focusing on cocktail and evening and when you translate that to pastels, it takes on a bridal formality. There’s no greater honor than dressing a wedding party, it’s a niche business that I feel is of great value to the bride and her family.”
The atmosphere in Cristophe’s salon was festive and welcoming. Subdued lighting created a warm glow that caused one to immediately feel at home. I nibbled on very scrumptious appetizers, drank delicious sparkling wine and ate a whole piece of wedding cake that tasted heavenly.
Soon the disco music hit a spanking beat, and the Grayse Bridal Fashion Show was announced. The Salon transformed into a runway, as the models looked illuminating in the exquisite, sophisticated styles which were completed by Cristophe’s regal hairstyles interlaced with Margaret Rowe headpieces The cameras didn’t stop flashing as each photographer and guest snapped away. The show ended with the dramatic catwalk line of all the models, then the mother and daughter team of Marie and Kelly Gray took their bow.
Cristophe expressed his admiration for Grayse Bridal Fashions afterward in an interview with The Hollywood 360:
“I thought the fashion show was amazing. The fashions and models were fabulous. Those clothes were breath taking… they looked like they were actually sewn on the models bodies.”
“Fashion right now is very loose, very deconstructive, uncoif. My hairstyles today were a reflection of where we are right now in the fashion world. Fashion is very approachable.”
The entire event was organized by Christine Peake of the Peakprgroup. Some of the special guests attending the event were Film producer, Cindy Cowan, Actress, Nika Khitrova, and Celebrity Trainer, Charlene Ciardiello.
