Brooklyn Decker, actress, model and the daughter of the “original hipsters” was making her rounds to promote Grace and Frankie, her hit Netflix show. She hit The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night with a gorgeous smoky ‘un-done’ look. If you’d like to get that same Brooklyn Decker look , her longtime makeup artist, Tracy Murphy shared with us just how to do it.
Tracy starts by prepping the skin with Mario Badescu’s Rose Water Facial Spray and Clarks Botanicals Moisture Mask.
Next, she applied Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation in color 123 and Shiseido Bronzer to warm her face up.
Tracy took into account that Brooklyn’s hair (done by Peter Butler) that night was super sleek and slicked back, and she wanted the makeup to focus on Brooklyn’s eyes. She used Lash Star Beauty’s Exacting Eyebrow Pencil to create a very prominent, over dramatized brow and a black kohl eyeliner to rim the lower and upper water lines of her eye to get that naturally smoky, smudgy and undone “model off duty” look. And no lash look can be complete without some mascara, and Tracy used her own formula – Lash Star’s Full Control Mascara Duo, plus individual false lashes in the middle of the eye to open her face up.
Tracy finished Brooklyn’s look by mixing Lash Star’s Flash of Brilliance Skin Illuminator in Phosphorescence and theModern Nudes Eyeshadow Quad in #002 to create a wet, shiny and dewy eye.
Tracy created her line, Lash Star Beauty, to have products in her kit that she knows work and that she actually wants to use. ” It is the first expertly designed line, focused solely on the eyelashes, that teaches women the techniques that demystify mascara application along with how to maximize their lash potential to change their lash game forever.”
