This Saturday, April 8th, the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills will be presenting the legendary consummate performer, Mr. Las Vegas, Wayne Newton. He makes his return to Beverly Hills with his all-new production, “Wayne Newton: Up Close and Personal.” Also on the bill that evening is the lovely, adult-contemporary/smooth jazz recording artist and songwriter Carly Robyn Green.
Wayne Newton spoke about his newest production,
“This will be a very different and more intimate show than I’ve done in the past and I’m looking forward to interacting with each audience and sharing stories from my life in Las Vegas, some of which I’ve never told before.”
Voted Nevada Magazine’s “Best Entertainer” eight years in a row, Newton has performed more than 30,000 shows in Las Vegas. On this night he will share the fantastic stories and videos that were impactful and influential on his legendary 50+ year career. Newton will sing crowd favorites including the platinum record hit, “Danke Schoen,” engage with the audience by answering questions, and plays an assortment of the many instruments he has perfected.
Carly Robyn Green has quite a sterling resume as she has opened for artists like Buddy Guy and Keiko Matsui, she sang at the Grammy Awards backing up Cee Lo Green, and she has written hits for multi-platinum artists worldwide. “What Love is All About” is the debut single from Green’s new project of original love songs co-written with Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn.
