Odalys Nanin’s acclaimed 2017 show Frida- Stroke of Passion is revived for a limited engagement at the Casa 0101 Theater, located in the Boyle Heights Artist District, of Los Angeles.
I thoroughly enjoyed Odalys Nanin’s “FRIDA – Stroke of Passion: The Immersive Experience”. The special engagement recapped the mysterious last week of iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, beautifully re-enacted by the talented Odalys Nanin & her amazing cast. Audience members were engulfed by Frida’s story with her art and nature pictures. It was truly an immersive experience of beautiful art, passionate acting, great singing and dramatic storytelling.
Frida’s husband, artist Diego Rivera. was very well portrayed by Oscar Basulto. Other standouts in the wonderful cast were Swisyzinna as World Famous Performer Josephine Baker as well as Giselle Murillo as Maria Felix.
