It is better to stay or go?
Well in Cindy Jollotta’s new video “Ghosts” the female protagonist has decided to move forward, and she’s going to take her rightful place where she believes she belongs.
“Ghosts” is an unusual depiction of the choice of whether to stay or go, and that also refers to whether or not to languish in old memories. It’s a subject that has been covered a zillion times, but Jollotta’s depiction gives the topic an interesting new treatment. Now whether that decision has to do with a real life journey moving ahead, or addressing a reason to stay or even go back into the past, that’s another thing. Can anyone ever really “correct” the past?
Watch ‘Ghosts’ by Cindy Jollotta:
“Ghosts” is written and directed by Jollotta and she gets an assist from her collaborator Dan Reynolds. Filmed in Ireland, the production has a very green and fresh touch to it. The video has a pleasant touch to it. The song “Ghosts” sounds good and the lyrics are haunting.
Judging by the lyrics and the rain that came down in the beginning of the video — but not by the end — all indicators are that perhaps it’s best to move along.
Jollotta considers herself Americana Gothic. A style that she says is illustrated best in her Gogol Bordello-style single “Leave Slow.” The “Leave Slow” video shows a good effort in animation-stop action film work.
