The Hollywood Sci Fi Museum Honors Star Trek’s Nichelle Nichols

On Sept 19, 2017 The Hollywood Sci Fi Museum honored Star Trek’s  Nichelle Nichols while raising  money to keep us all looking at our future and into the stars. The event was organized to help raised funds for the 2018 Hollywood Science Fiction Museum building and Educational Foundation. The star studded  event was held at Ripley’s Believe it Or Not in the heart of Hollywood.

The goal of The Hollywood Science Fiction Museum  is to  teach and inspire people of all ages an uplifting vision of the future found in science fiction media, art and literature.  HSFM will teach real science through science fiction, including technology, ecology, engineering, computers, robotics, math, space travel and all aspects of film making through fun, interactive exhibits and programs.

Attendees were all  treated to food, drink, swag, a trip through the oddities at Ripleys’s,Museum,  an auction and the honor of sitting in a Replica of the original Star Trek’s Capitan Kirks Chair.

Unfortunately,  Nichelle Nichols was unable to make the event,  but Chase Masterson graciously stopped in to represent the Star Trek contingent.
