Turner Classic Movies kicked off its 7th annual TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood this past Thursday, April 28 with the opening night screening of All The President’s Men at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX.  Carl Bernstein, investigative journalist and author of the book “All The President’s Men,” joined Spotlight director Tom McCarthy and Spotlight screenwriter Josh Singer for a conversation with TCM host Ben Mankiewicz highlighting journalism in film. Actor Alec Baldwin joined Ben Mankiewicz to open the evening’s events.

Thursday had many movies to choose from, Dark Victory (1939); One Potato, Two Potato (1964); A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945); The Freshman (1925) poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel, with an appearance of Suzanne Lloyd and Thomas Golubić; Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967); Los Tallos Amargos (1956); Brief Encounter (1945) and the Welcome party at Club TCM at the Roosevelt Hotel.
