Kreation Organic, owned and founded by Marjan Sarshar, is opening a new juicery, at 8910 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood and has announced a partnership with one of LA’s beloved charities, Project Angel Food.
The One Juice = One Meal Program kicks off during LA Pride weekend. Kreation Organic will pick a juice of the day from their menu, and the proceeds from the sale of that particular beverage will buy one meal for a Project Angel Food client. This on-going partnership will be effective in every one of the 13 Kreation Organic stores. Richard Ayoub, the Executive Director of Project Angel Food said, “Marjan not only puts her money where her mouth is, she also puts her heart where her passion is. She and her two daughters have already volunteered in our kitchen.”
Starting on Gay Pride Weekend, Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, this collaboration will highlight the positive impact of healthy eating and living. During the festivities, Kreation Organics has created a store front marketing experience, LA Pride Lounge, designed to hydrate and refresh pride revelers. Brand ambassadors will distribute complimentary Vitamin C packed Kreation Lemon Water bottles and Feel Better turmeric and Echinacea Tonic Shots. Volunteers and staff from Project Angel Food will hand out complimentary hydrating lemon alkaline water on the route of the #Resist March, in front of Kitchen 24 on Santa Monica Blvd on Sunday, June 11.
Project Angel Food has served the community tirelessly for twenty-eight years, providing more than 10.5 million meals to men and women living with critical illness. The kitchen and staff prepare over 11,000 meals a week, free of charge, and medically tailored to the requirements of people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer kidney failure, congestive heart disease and diabetes. The mission is one of love, to feed and nourish the sick as they fight their battle. Many of the clients are living well below the poverty line and Project Angel Food is the lifeline filling a vital need in all communities. The client base is testimony to this fact, 40% Latino, 30% African-American, 21% Caucasian, 5% Asian and 4% other.
