Dancing With the Star’s (DWTS) professional dancer Keo Motsepe announced his first-ever “Thank the Angels” gifting service drive. Keo and his celebrity friends assembled gift bags filled with blankets, clothes, toys, and food to give out to the homeless communities and shelter homes in Los Angeles.
The Wednesday before Thanksgiving day, DWTS pro and founder of Thank the Angels, Keo Motsepe met with some of his closest celebrity friends at Lucky Strike Live to prepare 200 bags he would fill with blankets, clothes, toys, and food he would give to the homeless communities of Los Angeles. After sharing his desire to spread some hope this Thanksgiving Day to those who don’t have a home to call their own, the once 100-bag venture turned into a 200-bag venture proving that “You are not alone… We are all here for one another…. Love wins.”
DWTS celebrity contestant and Pretty Little Liar star Sasha Pieterse, DWTS pro-dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, DWTS pro-dancer Artem Chigvintsev, recording artist Vaja, ballroom dancer and entrepreneur Camilla Dallerup, model/actress Sarah Lea joined forces to spread love and hope to the homeless communities in Los Angeles.
Barbara Corcoran immediately came onboard to support the philanthropic cause saying, “Thanksgiving is not only the time to be thankful for our friends and family, but to think of others less fortunate and I think this is a truly wonderful cause and way to support that.”
Sasha Pieterse also joined the initiative. “We’ve been given so many opportunities and things to be grateful for, I think it’s time to give back and share these blessings.”
Talking about his inspiration for the endeavor, Keo recalls a time when he knew he had to do more “It was Thanksgiving and I bought food and drove around trying to find someone to give it to and then behind a major department store I saw a woman with a small child in the car parked sitting against the wall. I went over and offered her the food and she just started crying— that’s a feeling you never forget. At that moment, I just knew I wanted to do more.”
Already on board to support the venture was Audi Beverly Hills who supplied 200 bottles of water and tote bags to the cause and Enterprise car rental who provided transportation to help “Thank the Angels” accomplish their Thanksgiving Day drop-offs mission. Lucky Strike, the national entertainment bowling alley, also lent their Hollywood location venue for the celebrities and volunteers to create these gift bags the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Also on board were premium beverage companies OSO, a new all-natural energy drink and GLOW, a low-calorie sparkling beverage infused with vitamins and antioxidants.
