The Hollywood 360 can exclusively confirm [and reveal on July 28] that brothers Brian and Derek Rivera, who were two of the four [founding] members of Regional Mexican group Los Crecidos [also comprised of brothers Steven and Ángel Ramirez of Chula Vista, Ca.] signed to Regional Mexican Powerhouse Fonovisa, a division of Universal Music Latin Entertainment, are “no longer with the group.”

“After the release of their first album titled Dejame Robarte Un Beso, released on April 26, 2019 — it was obvious the Rivera brothers [Brian and Derek] had loss interest in their commitment to the group [Los Crecidos], you can’t continue to work with someone that shows no interest or effort in continuing to foster what we had [collectively] built,” explained Gerardo Ramirez, Los Crecidos manager, who coincidently is the father of Los Crecidos members Steven and Ángel [Ramirez]. “When we had reached that crossroad, I spoke to the executives at Fonovisa and explained what was happening and luckily they believed [and believe] in the group and everything we were doing [and had accomplished] and left the decision of the groups [future and] outcome in our hands, me as manager and my sons as Los Crecidos group members.”

The Hollywood 360 can [also] “exclusively” reveal on July 28, that Jorge Ramirez, no relation to Gerardo, the groups manager, or to brothers Steven, or Angel Ramirez [Los Crecidos founding members], is the newest member of Los Crecidos, who are now a [trio] Regional Mexican group.

“My sons periodically have some of their friends come over and spend the night. In one of those occasions I heard one of their friends singing and playing the guitar as they sometimes do, so I took my phone and started recording his singing [without them knowing]. It was at a later date that I brought the conversation about the group with my two sons [Steven and Ángel],” also revealed Gerardo as to how the newest addition to the group organically came about. “After speaking my sons — we collectively agreed that we would talk to Jorge [Ramirez], and he agreed to join Los Crecidos –as its newest member, who coincidently penned the first single titled “El Patron,” of their upcoming “as of yet untitled” sophomore album.”

“Being in music like making a career of it had crossed my mind, but then you sometimes have doubts like it might not happen for you,” explained Jorge [Ramirez] of what had crossed his mind when approached by Gerardo and his sons [Steven and Angel] to join the group. “I never knew I could sing, it slowly progressed as well as the composing component of it. I started to compose and write songs, everything just organically grew from there. I was surprised and overjoyed when asked to join the group, like the countless hours I had spent practicing [singing and playing my guitar] had eventually paid off.”
