Every year during the fanfare of awards season, celebrities are given lavish gifts at elaborate gifting suites. This year, however, Pavemint turned the tables on this time-honored tradition by doing something to honor those who work behind the scenes.
Pavemint, which launched in October of last year in Los Angeles, is a peer-to-peer app that connects people looking for parking with residents and business owners who have spaces to share, helping them arrive happier and faster. With the spirit of their mission in mind, the app decided to focus on celebrating the diligent drivers and crew who helped ensure that everything ran in a smooth and timely fashion at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards, with gifts perfectly suited to their needs.
In addition to a gift bag of assorted gourmet organic snacks for them to enjoy during their long work day, Pavemint provided each person with $1,000 of free parking, available for use at Pavemint’s 4,000+ spaces across LA.

Pavemint hopes that their campaign provides an incentive for Hollywood to pay it forward, during both the Academy Awards and future awards seasons, and give their own thanks to the people working tirelessly behind the curtains.
