“One day in Miami, Fl., a couple of us [musicians] got together to play, as the word spread within our peers and the Latin music community, people started to inquire about us, so we collectively decided that we would charge or have attendees donate money we can give to a charity and that gave birth to Los Producers,” expressed Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner Sebastian Krys, who has been passionate and instrumental in putting on the yearly event. “We always try to donate to some charity related to cancer since we’ve all been affected by it, but this year we spoke with St. Jude [Children’s Research Hospital], and they agreed that some of the money raised would also be split to benefit hurricane victims in Puerto Rico through Luis Fonsi‘s supported Help Me Rebuild La Perla, [a suburb of San Juan, PR], and earthquake victims in Mexico through Kate Del Castillo‘s supported Los Angeles En Mexico.”
