Performances by ReyEye Redemption, Cali Conscience, and Kevin Miso Thursday, April 20
The Queen Mary’s breakout live music series, Local Band Hangout, continues with performances by RedEye Redemption, Cali Conscience, and Long Beach native Kevin Miso on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Observation Bar. Local Band Hangout presents top local artists and up-and-coming bands performing live aboard the majestic Queen Mary every third Thursday of each month.
Often referred to as “the next Sublime”, RedEye Redemption, describes their sound as a unique blend of reggae, and an aggressive modern ska sound, seamlessly mixed with rock and hip-hop. Cali Conscious is a barefoot beach reggae band with a laid-back California style. Their catchy song lyrics are positive, sharing a message of hope, living with love in the present moment and promoting a global and sustainable way of life.
Long Beach native, Kevin Miso, will also bring his Southern California influence to the Queen Mary’s April Local Band Hangout. When describing his music, Kevin explains, “There’s a duality to my songs for sure. There’s definitely that laid-back surf feel to a lot of the tunes; but there’s also this contrasting, more folk-influenced element that comes out one way or another.”
