Kendall Jenner and Lady freaking Gaga walked Marc Jacobs’s fall 2016 show on Thursday night. With the proliferation of the celebrity model on the runways, which can often detract from the fashion itself. That was not the case Thursday night. The models walked around the circular, white, ice skating rink-esque “runway” at the Park Avenue Armory and the clothes were definately the stars. Jacobs’s presented luxurious, macabre designs accompanied by the sound of bells slowly alternating pitches and flickering lights.  As models made their way down the runway , a large ominous shadow was cast onto the white wall behind them. Just imagine what Beetlejuice might wear if he shopped at Hot Topic.

Not surprising, most of the clothing was black with a goth elements: Black wide legged pants, stripes and checkerboard prints and he didn’t forget the sky-high platform boots with sweatshirts adorned with spider-webs and emo cats. Jacobs also put a victorian style spin on his models with Victorian collars, longline embroidered coats and lacy skirts.

Lady Gaga, walked the runway adorned with large strips of fur. The show included a sequined black jacket with multicolored feathers at the shoulders and a loose, round-neck, sequined black dress with a spiderweb embroidered onto it, along with bits of crochet and lace ruffles which brought home the haunting goth feel of the collection.
