The Hollywood 360: Talk about your boutique.
MaryAnn: The store was named after my granddaughter who will be three years old. I opened the store two years ago. I was in corporate insurance for 30 years and now I am pursuing my dream. I want this boutique to be part of this community and also I invite women to come here and get together for a fun night.
The Hollywood 360: What kind of clothes do you carry?
MaryAnn: I have a lot of different variety in the store. It’s not one size or one style.
The Hollywood 360: What designers do you bring in?
MaryAnn: I do a lot of shopping in the show rooms in Los Angeles plus I bring local designers in too. I have a beautiful jewelry collection out of Salinas, California. She started making her own jewelry, wearing it to work and got compliments. She started her own line. I don’t sell online. I want people to come in and meet me face to face. I want to know what people like or don’t like so I can shop personally for you.
My dream is to make connections under the brick and mortar. I’ve been doing networking and special events in the store like wedding showers, baby showers. It’s by appointment, and we close the store. I also do Ladies’ nights. The idea is that you don’t have to do anything. I do everything. I provide the food and drinks. I also provide gifts for everyone that adds a personal touch.
