This past Wednesday there was an amazing grand opening event for Just Dance Los Angeles, the studio teaching social dance to people of all ages and levels. The red carpet and event began at 7pm and finished just after 10.
Julz Tocker is a celebrity dance trainer and the co-owner of Just Dance. He is Goldie Hawn’s dance teacher and she came out to support his big night! Julz also recently taught Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone for their award winning dance performances in La La Land and he trains many other big stars.
Julz is a former DWTS alum and many of his friends from the show came out last night to support him – Derek Hough was there to help officially open the studio, also current season professional dancers Keo Motsepe, Sharna Burgess attended and Camilla Dallerup, celebrity dancer turned life coach, from the UK’s Strictly Come Dancing fame. All of his famous dancing friends came out to support the studio opening, it was a star-studded evening!
Goldie gave an amazing speech talking about her childhood dreams of being a dancer and how when she first moved to LA it was her passion and dream to dance… and how now she is finally doing it!
She praised Julz and encouraged everyone to take up dancing. She was in amazing spirits and laughed and joked with Julz on the stage, she stayed for well over an hour and was mingling and having fun with the guests.
Following Goldie’s speech, Haley Reinhart from American Idol gave a beautiful performance singing Can’t help falling in love.
Also attending the star studded event – Lady Victoria Hervey, pop star James Maslow from Big Time Rush, Alfonso Ribiero (fresh prince), Pandora Todd (Lisa Vanderpump’s daughter, Julz Tocker also works with Lisa and the family), Rachel McCord, music artist and host Vaja and more..
Guests enjoyed light bites provided by celebrity chefs at Road 36 and cocktails from Get Hot tequila, a new habanero infused tequila. Get Hot served up “Hot Donkey” cocktails a playful twist on the popular Moscow Mules which are traditionally served with vodka instead of the spicy tequila of Get Hot.
