Chita Rivera Headlines The Broadway at Birdland Concert Benefiting the Art Attack Foundation

On December 4th, Broadway icon Chita Rivera will headline the Broadway Concert series’ upcoming An Evening of Song.  The concert will benefit the Art Attack Foundation at the midtown cabaret venue.

Chita Rivera is a two-time Tony winner.  She serves as the Chairperson for the AAF, which provides scholarship funding and outreach opportunities for young performers to achieve their full artistic potential. The 2017 concert marks the 14th anniversary of the organization.

“Now, more than ever, young people with talent need our help with training, support, encouragement, and above all—opportunity,” said Rivera. “That is exactly what Art Attack provides, and why they need our help, in order to accomplish all that they achieve. That very next scholarship that is given could be the one for a future star in the arts. I am proud and delighted to be a part of this fine organization.”

In addition to Rivera, the event will feature Anastasia star Christy Altomare, Mean Girls-bound Kate RockwellBeautiful Tony nominee Anika LarsenLes Misérables and The Lightning Thief favorite Chris McCarrell, KPOP composer Max Vernon, and songwriting team Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, as well as Birdland staple Jim Caruso, Julie Foldesi, Sally Wilfert, Michael Patrick Walker, Bonnie Milligan, Rob Rokicki, Lynne Shankle, and Steve Marzullo.
