FX Networks’ New Pilot collaboration with Marvel Television

Los Angeles, February 4, 2016- Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Dan Stevens (The Guest), and Jean Smart (Fargo) will join previously announced cast member Rachel Keller.
Dan Stevens will be playing David Haller, a diagnosed schizophrenic. David has been in and out of institutions since he was young is in a continual battle to fight his way back to sanity. But an encounter with the girl of his dreams makes him question if the voices and visions he thinks are part of his mental illness are in fact real.
In the comics, Haller is a mutant and the son of Professor Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men.
Aubrey Plaza will play David’ friend Lenny, who, in spite of struggling with her own demons (drug and alcohol abuse), gives him a healthy dose of her eternal optimism.
Jean Smart will play Melanie, David’s unconventional therapist.
Noah Hawley penned the script for the pilot of the FX Network and Marvel Television collaboration ‘Legion’ which will begin production in March. Noah Hawley (Fargo) will share Executive Producer duties with Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Wolverine), Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Superman Returns), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Martian), Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones), Jim Chory (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones) and John Cameron (Fargo, The Big Lebowski).
