5G, Esports, and Podcasting to take center stage during CES [2019] in Las Vegas!

Every January [this year from Jan. 8 – 11, 2019] over 180,000 electronic enthusiast and those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies from over 155 countries, converge in Las Vegas, at the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center [LVCC] for the CES 2019, an event that attracts over 4,500 exhibitors, with a conference program with at least 250 sessions, that include manufacturers, developers, and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems, and more.

Among highlights of this year’s program is The C Space Storytellers, presented by Consumer Technology Association (CTA). According to CTA : Facebook’s Carolyn Everson will join Bombas’ David Heath to discuss the disruptor mindset and the underlying mindset of this growth for both people and economies [at 10:15 am – 10:45 am] on Tues. –  Jan. 8, at Aria [Level 2] Ballroom; The Atlantic staff writer Jamele Hill will have an intimate conversation with Spotify’s VP Courtney Holt on how creators are leveraging podcasts to connect with audiences, explore the creative spectrum and [how] the evolution of podcasting is becoming an authentic [and very popular] storytelling device [at 11- 11:30 am] on Tues. –  Jan. 8, at Aria [Level 2] Mariposa Ballroom; and [amongst other C Space Stotytellers panels] is the CNET’s Next Big Thing, where exec’s from CBSi, [The] Star Trek Franchise, Samsung, Verizon, and Youtube will open up about how to keep up with the [quickly] ever changing media and how innovations in mobile video, 5G, Over The Top [OTT], and more are shaping the future of content consumption [at 1:45 pm – 2:30 pm] on Tues. – Jan 8, at Aria [Level 2] Mariposa Ballroom.

Another “highly popular” conference track [during CES] is the Entertainment Summit presented by Variety, in which pioneers and innovators across TV, film, music, and video games will converge to discuss [their thoughts and opinions on] how to advance [the industry and] their business.

On the Entertainment Summit program [according to CTA] will be the Audience Battle Royale: The Future of the TV Industry [panel] taking place on Wed. – Jan 9, [9 – 9:45 am], at the Aria [Level 1] Joshua 9 [Ballroom] where executives from Discover & Factual, NAGRA, Group Nine Media, Viacom’s [MTV, VH1, CMT, & Logo], and Sling TV will discuss [and give their opinions] on the best way to build a meaningful business around TV and challenges of OTT channels and platforms as it relates to brand partners, the Headliner Conversation with Viacom CEO, moderated by Andrew Wallenstein, co-Editor-in-Chief, Variety, taking place Wed. – Jan 9, [10 – 10:30 am] at the Aria [Level 1] Joshua 9 [Ballroom], the New Rules of Engagement in the Disrupted Age, taking place Wed. – Jan 9, [11 – 11:40 am], at Arial [Level 1], Joshua 9 [Ballroom], where exec’s from EY, Spotify, Google & Youtube, MGM Resorts International, and Reddit will discuss [among other things] their strategies to connect in today’s disrupted landscape, the best business models, and discovery mechanisms and consumer experiences to succeed, the Into the Zeitgeist: The Direct-To-Consumer Entertainment Economy taking place Wed. – Jan 9, [11:40 – 12:20 pm] at Aria [Level 1], Joshua 9 [Ballroom], where exec’s from Hulu, Fandango, Discovery Networks, Conde Nast, Tubi,  and Youtube will discuss what are the best business models, content discovery mechanisms, and consumer experiences to succeed in direct to consumer business models, and [amongst a few other Entertainment Summit panels will] be the Headliner Conversation with Steve Harvey, taking place [also] on Wed. – Jan 9, [ 1:35 – 2:05 pm] at Aria [Level 1], Joshua 9 [Ballroom].

Amongst the “most anticipated” press conferences part of [CTA’s] CES Media Day Schedule will be by LG Electronics, to take place during [Media] Da 2: Mon. – Jan. 7, [8 – 8:45 am] at Mandalay Bay, [Level 3], South Seas Ballroom A/B/E, the Monster, Inc. to take place Mon. – Jan 7, [9 – 9:45 am] at Mandalay Bay, [Level 3, South Seas Ballroom C/D, Panasonic’s to take place Mon. – Jan 7, [10 – 10:45 am], at Mandalay Bay, [ Level 3], Jasmine Ballroom, Samsung’s to take place Mon. – Jan. 7, [2 – 2:45 pm], Level 2, Mandalay G/H [room], and Sony’s to [also] be held Mon. – Jan 7, [5 – 5:45 pm] Las Vegas Convention Center [LVCC], Central Hall, 17300.
